Staying with us gives you the opportunity to experience Soweto, its people, the different neighborhoods and its history up close and personal. Our community is safe to explore on your own and we are on a walking distance from many of Soweto’s famous sites such as the Hector Pieterson memorial and Vilakazi Street with Nelson Mandela’s former home.
Our Backpackers lodge is situated in Orlando West, a vibrant community rich in history and culture. And experience our traditional outdoor dining for breakfast, lunch and dinner served in our Outdoor Restaurant in our community park. Stay in a dorm, tree house, or pitch a tent! As our backpacker guest you get a discount on our popular guided tours by bicycle, walk or tuk tuk.
Our 20+ bed hostel offers a personal and unique experience with a choice of staying in dormitories or private rooms. You can also pitch your own tent or rent a fully equipped one from us – or stay in our cozy tree-house built with thatched grass and bamboo!
For couples, single travellers and families needing that extra privacy and tranquillity – we have a “Self Catering Unit” around the corner from the main backpackers. Here you can unwind and enjoy your own space while only being two minutes away from all the rest of our facilities. The house has a free WiFi connection, a fully equipped self catering kitchen and a garden and lapa.
We are happy to make the arrangements on your behalf.
